Company Update – Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With the risk in the UK of Coronavirus (COVID-19) moving from low to moderate, I would like to provide you with an update of the efforts we are making to mitigate impact to services.

Over the past fortnight, key stakeholders from EMaC and our parent company (Innovation Group) have been engaged in a Coronavirus Management Group forum. The purpose of this forum is to consider impact scenarios of COVID-19 and our response to them. The health and safety of our employees is our number one priority and we have been reiterating the advice from Public Health England to our colleagues. At present, all EMaC and Innovation Group offices are open and operating as normal, and we have no reported cases of individuals contracting COVID-19.

We have business continuity plans in place for all sites but due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 outbreak, and the corresponding Government advice, we are reviewing these plans continually within the Management Group. The EMaC business is robust to deal with many scenarios but some potential scenarios are extreme given the possibility of Government intervention through social distancing. The level of business impact is commensurate with the severity of the scenarios we may face and we will endeavour to minimise the level of disruption to you and your consumers through this extraordinary pandemic.

At the time of writing, there is no business impact as we have no COVID-19 scenario to face. Should that situation change, we will communicate to you further.

Thank you for your attention and understanding.
