EMaC team members embark on 62 mile walk from Crewe to Ludlow Castle to raise funds for mental health charity, Mind.

Two team members from EMaC, the leading Automotive Aftersales Partner, embarked on a 62 mile walk at the weekend in order to raise funds for the mental health charity, Mind.

Jay Garrett, Outbound Sales Advisor and Liam Crilley, Support Advisor, were part of a small team who together took on the challenge of the 100km walk on 24th October from Crewe to Ludlow Castle.

Jay Garrett said “There was blood, sweat and tears throughout, but this is what the event was all about, pulling together, pushing each other further than our limits and to show that it’s ok to let your emotions get the better of you. The whole reason behind the event, other than raising money, was to show that it doesn’t matter how hard things can get mentally or physically, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and people to help you to get there”.

The team smashed their original target of £1,000; the current fundraising stands at £2500, with donations still flooding in.

Liam Crilley said “We are completely blown away and overwhelmed by how much money we have managed to raise for the mental health charity Mind. The walk was extremely tough both mentally and physically and it was by far the hardest thing we have ever had to do”.

John O’Donnell, Managing Director at EMaC said ‘The team and I here at EMaC are extremely proud of Jay, Liam and the rest of the group who took on this incredible physical and mental challenge.  In the current climate there has never been a better time to raise awareness for mental health and the amount of generous donations to Mind has been fantastic”.
